Oh thanks Doreen, so very glad you are safely home - no place like it when poorly.

Take your time getting your strength back. Reintroducing food IS scary after a horrible time like that, I found baby foods (mostly banana puree) and plain yoghurt soothing. Oh and a liking for jelly!
And dont forget those important fluids, even if just sips at a time. Dehydration is so dangerous, especially on strong pain relief and we dont always realise it.

Take very good care,
Lizxx

Thanks Liz. All I seem to want really is yogurt and toast but it's better than nothing isn't it. You've made me fancy some Jelly now, I'll give it a try.
I'm keeping up with fluids but can't believe I haven't had any wine for a week now!!!!

Thanks to all of you for being here for me, it's lovely to have your support on here and facebook.

Love, Doreen xx

Well I knew I shouldn't have wished for more then 3 days holiday but I didn't expect to get whisked off in an ambulance!
Thankyou everyone for your kind words, you are all such good friends.
I have no pain now but just feel wiped out and a bit shaky. Need to get the morphine out of my system, does anyone know how long that takes?
I managed to lose almost half a stone during those 4 days in hospital but wouldn't recommend the diet!
I'm a bit scared to eat so am just having yogurts and toast but knowing me it won't be long before I'm eating properly again.

LIZ.....it's so good to hear from you again, hope things are starting to improve for you now, you've been through a dreadful time.

Love, Doreen xx

never mind all that ! what where the ambulance men like ?!?!?!?!?!?!

It's such a shame, Julie. She used to be such a smart woman, didn't she? Now she's rarely seen without a bottle in her hand.

No Carmel I'm not ill, it's just withdrawal symptoms from the wine.
